# PitchBend Pro vs MIDI Layers

The clearest difference is price: MIDI Layers at $12.99 against PitchBend Pro's $24.99. MIDI Layers also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months). PitchBend Pro's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 57%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

PitchBend Pro costs $24.99 and MIDI Layers $12.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MIDI Layers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MIDI Layers has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of PitchBend Pro's written reviews are positive against 57% of MIDI Layers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PitchBend Pro ships an update every 10 months, MIDI Layers fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
