# Arm Speed Motion Analyzer vs Ace Trace

The clearest difference is monetization model: Arm Speed Motion Analyzer at freemium against Ace Trace's subscription. Arm Speed Motion Analyzer also leads on ads (none vs shown). Ace Trace's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 11) and review sentiment (51% vs 31%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arm Speed Motion Analyzer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ace Trace sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Arm Speed Motion Analyzer against 4.3 for Ace Trace. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ace Trace has 2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Arm Speed Motion Analyzer's written reviews are positive against 51% of Ace Trace's.

Arm Speed Motion Analyzer ships an update fortnightly, Ace Trace every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
