# HW Link V2 vs REDS ESC

The clearest difference is review sentiment: REDS ESC at 100% against HW Link V2's 30%. REDS ESC also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). HW Link V2's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (35 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HW Link V2 holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HW Link V2 has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of HW Link V2's written reviews are positive against 100% of REDS ESC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
