# Armada.io vs Zoologic

Armada.io and Zoologic both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Armada.io's written reviews are positive against 44% of Zoologic's. Armada.io also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Zoologic's advantage is ratings volume (176 vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Armada.io sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Zoologic sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Armada.io against 3.9 for Zoologic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zoologic has 176 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Armada.io's written reviews are positive against 44% of Zoologic's.

Armada.io ships an update every 8 days, Zoologic every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
