# Odysee vs BitChute

The clearest difference is monetization model: Odysee at free against BitChute's free with in-app purchases. Odysee also leads on ratings volume (922 vs 36). BitChute's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.4) and review sentiment (50% vs 34%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Odysee sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BitChute sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BitChute holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Odysee has 922 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 34% of Odysee's written reviews are positive against 50% of BitChute's.

Odysee ships an update fortnightly, BitChute every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
