# BalletActive vs Dance Lessons

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BalletActive at 93% against Dance Lessons's 60%. Dance Lessons's advantage is ratings volume (626 vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BalletActive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Dance Lessons sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dance Lessons holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dance Lessons has 626 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of BalletActive's written reviews are positive against 60% of Dance Lessons's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BalletActive ships an update every 3 months, Dance Lessons every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
