# ALPAKA vs Midtown Authentic

ALPAKA and Midtown Authentic both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Midtown Authentic's written reviews are positive against 59% of ALPAKA's. Midtown Authentic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). ALPAKA's advantage is ratings volume (780 vs 11). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ALPAKA against 5.0 for Midtown Authentic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ALPAKA has 780 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of ALPAKA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Midtown Authentic's.

ALPAKA ships an update fortnightly, Midtown Authentic every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
