# Jotto vs Wordus

The clearest difference is rating: Wordus at 4.6 against Jotto's 3.6. Wordus also leads on ratings volume (125K vs 11) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Jotto's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (58% vs 29%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wordus sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Jotto asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wordus holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wordus has 125K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Jotto's written reviews are positive against 29% of Wordus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jotto ships an update every 2 months, Wordus every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
