# SalemNOW vs BRAVE+

The clearest difference is monetization model: SalemNOW at free with in-app purchases against BRAVE+'s subscription. SalemNOW also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 58%). BRAVE+'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SalemNOW sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and BRAVE+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BRAVE+ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BRAVE+ has 530 ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of SalemNOW's written reviews are positive against 58% of BRAVE+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SalemNOW ships an update every 2 months, BRAVE+ monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
