# Kanban vs Taskman

The clearest difference is ads: Kanban at none against Taskman's shown. Kanban also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (280 vs 2). Taskman's advantage is iOS requirement (14.5 vs 26.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kanban sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Taskman sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Kanban against 4.5 for Taskman. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kanban has 280 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kanban ships an update fortnightly, Taskman every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
