# myNotes vs NoteEase

The clearest difference is rating: NoteEase at 4.4 against myNotes's 2.3. NoteEase also leads on ratings volume (66 vs 4) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 16.0). myNotes's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (76% vs 42%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. myNotes sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and NoteEase sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteEase holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoteEase has 66 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of myNotes's written reviews are positive against 42% of NoteEase's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

myNotes ships an update every 3 weeks, NoteEase monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
