# Underwater Alligator Attack vs Idle Alien Octopus

The clearest difference is rating: Idle Alien Octopus at 4.8 against Underwater Alligator Attack's 3.7. Idle Alien Octopus also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 3) and update cadence (every 22 months vs every 44 months). Underwater Alligator Attack's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idle Alien Octopus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Underwater Alligator Attack asks for nothing beyond the download.

Idle Alien Octopus holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idle Alien Octopus has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Underwater Alligator Attack's written reviews are positive against 60% of Idle Alien Octopus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Underwater Alligator Attack ships an update every 44 months, Idle Alien Octopus every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
