# Website Blocking vs xBlock

The clearest difference is monetization model: xBlock at free with in-app purchases against Website Blocking's subscription. xBlock also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.5). Website Blocking's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs monthly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Website Blocking sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and xBlock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Website Blocking ships an update every 11 days, xBlock monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
