# Live OCR Search Using Camera vs Anki Pro

Live OCR Search Using Camera and Anki Pro both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 63% of Live OCR Search Using Camera's written reviews are positive against 27% of Anki Pro's. Live OCR Search Using Camera also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Anki Pro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (162 vs 24). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live OCR Search Using Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Anki Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anki Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anki Pro has 162 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Live OCR Search Using Camera's written reviews are positive against 27% of Anki Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live OCR Search Using Camera ships an update every 10 months, Anki Pro weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
