# VPN Protector & Proxy vs SecurityLab VPN

The clearest difference is ads: VPN Protector & Proxy at none against SecurityLab VPN's shown. VPN Protector & Proxy also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 40%). SecurityLab VPN's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Protector & Proxy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and SecurityLab VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SecurityLab VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 636 and 973 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of VPN Protector & Proxy's written reviews are positive against 40% of SecurityLab VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
