# InstantMessage vs DocuTalk

The clearest difference is update cadence: DocuTalk at every 2 weeks against InstantMessage's every 6 weeks. DocuTalk also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstantMessage sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DocuTalk sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstantMessage ships an update every 6 weeks, DocuTalk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
