# CollaNote vs OrigNotes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OrigNotes at none against CollaNote's 4. OrigNotes also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 73%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). CollaNote's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 368). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CollaNote sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. OrigNotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for CollaNote against 4.7 for OrigNotes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CollaNote has 15K ratings behind it against 368, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of CollaNote's written reviews are positive against 85% of OrigNotes's.

CollaNote ships an update every 6 days, OrigNotes every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
