# Zults vs Octane

The clearest difference is ads: Zults at none against Octane's shown. Zults also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Octane's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zults sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Octane sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zults ships an update every 3 weeks, Octane weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
