# GeekSmart vs iYeasound

The clearest difference is rating: GeekSmart at 2.8 against iYeasound's 2.6. GeekSmart also leads on ratings volume (197 vs 8) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). iYeasound's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 11%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GeekSmart holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeekSmart has 197 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of GeekSmart's written reviews are positive against 20% of iYeasound's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GeekSmart ships an update every 4 weeks, iYeasound monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
