# LM vs Castream

The clearest difference is rating: Castream at 5.0 against LM's 4.2. Castream also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). LM's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LM sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Castream sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Castream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LM has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of LM's written reviews are positive against 100% of Castream's.

LM ships an update every 3 weeks, Castream every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
