# LM vs OBS 4K

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LM at 88% against OBS 4K's 22%. OBS 4K's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LM sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and OBS 4K sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OBS 4K holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OBS 4K has 25 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of LM's written reviews are positive against 22% of OBS 4K's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LM ships an update every 3 weeks, OBS 4K weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
