# BandScore vs Stem Splitter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stem Splitter at weekly against BandScore's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BandScore sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per year and Stem Splitter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BandScore ships an update monthly, Stem Splitter weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
