# Sticky Notes widget vs Lock Screen Note

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lock Screen Note at free with in-app purchases against Sticky Notes widget's subscription. Lock Screen Note also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Sticky Notes widget's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 50%) and ratings volume (270 vs 25). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sticky Notes widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Lock Screen Note sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lock Screen Note holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sticky Notes widget has 270 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Sticky Notes widget's written reviews are positive against 50% of Lock Screen Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sticky Notes widget ships an update every 9 days, Lock Screen Note every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
