# Carousel vs Loop Cam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Carousel at 100% against Loop Cam's 0%. Loop Cam's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Carousel sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Loop Cam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Loop Cam holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Carousel's written reviews are positive against 0% of Loop Cam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Carousel ships an update monthly, Loop Cam every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
