# Blink VPN vs AAA Secure

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AAA Secure at none against Blink VPN's 4. AAA Secure also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). Blink VPN's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blink VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. AAA Secure asks for nothing beyond the download.

AAA Secure holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AAA Secure has 42 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Blink VPN's written reviews are positive against 75% of AAA Secure's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Blink VPN ships an update every 2 months, AAA Secure every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
