# Baladi vs Karma Med

The clearest difference is ads: Karma Med at none against Baladi's shown. Karma Med also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Baladi's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Baladi against 5.0 for Karma Med. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baladi has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Baladi ships an update every 2 months, Karma Med every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
