# Beat Racing vs Yarnboy

The clearest difference is rating: Yarnboy at 5.0 against Beat Racing's 4.1. Yarnboy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). Beat Racing's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 2) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beat Racing sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Yarnboy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yarnboy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beat Racing has 2.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Beat Racing ships an update every 5 weeks, Yarnboy every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
