# 萤火虫PTE vs PTE WFD

The clearest difference is rating: PTE WFD at 5.0 against 萤火虫PTE's 4.4. PTE WFD also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). 萤火虫PTE's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 萤火虫PTE sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and PTE WFD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PTE WFD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 萤火虫PTE has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

萤火虫PTE ships an update every 2 weeks, PTE WFD every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
