# Hello Kitty vs My Talking Hello Kitty

The clearest difference is rating: Hello Kitty at 4.8 against My Talking Hello Kitty's 4.1. Hello Kitty also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 270). My Talking Hello Kitty's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 35%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hello Kitty sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and My Talking Hello Kitty sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hello Kitty holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hello Kitty has 1.7K ratings behind it against 270, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Hello Kitty's written reviews are positive against 71% of My Talking Hello Kitty's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hello Kitty ships an update every 2 weeks, My Talking Hello Kitty every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
