# DJI Virtual Flight vs Gruvy

The clearest difference is rating: Gruvy at 4.2 against DJI Virtual Flight's 3.9. Gruvy also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). DJI Virtual Flight's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 60) and review sentiment (34% vs 22%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gruvy holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of DJI Virtual Flight's written reviews are positive against 22% of Gruvy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DJI Virtual Flight ships an update every 2 months, Gruvy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
