# DJI Virtual Flight vs 4DRC Air

The clearest difference is rating: DJI Virtual Flight at 3.9 against 4DRC Air's 3.0. DJI Virtual Flight also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 33) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). 4DRC Air's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DJI Virtual Flight holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of DJI Virtual Flight's written reviews are positive against 40% of 4DRC Air's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DJI Virtual Flight ships an update every 2 months, 4DRC Air every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
