# MicDropp vs SpeakNotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MicDropp at 100% against SpeakNotes's 20%. MicDropp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 22) and ads (none vs shown). SpeakNotes's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeakNotes sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. MicDropp asks for nothing beyond the download.

SpeakNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpeakNotes has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MicDropp's written reviews are positive against 20% of SpeakNotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MicDropp ships an update every 2 months, SpeakNotes every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
