# OmniFocus 4 vs LiveFirst

The clearest difference is rating: LiveFirst at 5.0 against OmniFocus 4's 4.0. LiveFirst also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). OmniFocus 4's advantage is ratings volume (346 vs 6) and device support (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OmniFocus 4 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and LiveFirst sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LiveFirst holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OmniFocus 4 has 346 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OmniFocus 4 ships an update every 3 weeks, LiveFirst weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
