# Pomodoro & Focus Timer vs Pomodoro Hero

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pomodoro Hero at free with in-app purchases against Pomodoro & Focus Timer's subscription. Pomodoro Hero also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Pomodoro & Focus Timer's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 25%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pomodoro & Focus Timer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Pomodoro Hero sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomodoro Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 88 and 115 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Pomodoro & Focus Timer's written reviews are positive against 25% of Pomodoro Hero's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
