# Seavee vs My Contacts Backup + Transfer

The clearest difference is rating: Seavee at 5.0 against My Contacts Backup + Transfer's 4.2. Seavee also leads on update cadence (every 7 months vs every 29 months). My Contacts Backup + Transfer's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seavee sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year and My Contacts Backup + Transfer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Seavee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Contacts Backup + Transfer has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Seavee ships an update every 7 months, My Contacts Backup + Transfer every 29 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
