# Hohm vs TNEV

The clearest difference is update cadence: TNEV at every 3 weeks against Hohm's every 16 months. Hohm's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hohm ships an update every 16 months, TNEV every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
