# BXVPN vs ExpressSpeed

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ExpressSpeed at 100% against BXVPN's 24%. ExpressSpeed also leads on rating (4.3 vs 2.7). BXVPN's advantage is ratings volume (135 vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BXVPN sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and ExpressSpeed sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ExpressSpeed holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BXVPN has 135 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of BXVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of ExpressSpeed's.

BXVPN ships an update every 2 months, ExpressSpeed every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
