# Analog Clock Widget vs Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Analog Clock Widget at free with in-app purchases against Timer's subscription. Analog Clock Widget also leads on review sentiment (48% vs 20%) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 442). Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Analog Clock Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Analog Clock Widget against 4.4 for Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Analog Clock Widget has 4.5K ratings behind it against 442, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Analog Clock Widget's written reviews are positive against 20% of Timer's.

Analog Clock Widget ships an update every 2 months, Timer every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
