# Time Notes vs Present

The clearest difference is rating: Present at 4.8 against Time Notes's 4.2. Time Notes's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Present sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Present holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 10 respectively.

Time Notes ships an update weekly, Present every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
