# YPlayer vs smartPC

The clearest difference is update cadence: smartPC at every 3 days against YPlayer's every 3 weeks. smartPC also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per 7 days and smartPC sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YPlayer ships an update every 3 weeks, smartPC every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
