# Gauth vs MathMod

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MathMod at none against Gauth's 20. MathMod also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Gauth's advantage is ratings volume (1.5M vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gauth sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. MathMod asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gauth holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gauth has 1.5M ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Gauth's written reviews are positive against 67% of MathMod's.
