# IKEv2 vs DNS Changer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IKEv2 at none against DNS Changer's 4. IKEv2 also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). DNS Changer's advantage is review sentiment (96% vs 84%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DNS Changer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. IKEv2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

IKEv2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 140 and 179 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of IKEv2's written reviews are positive against 96% of DNS Changer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IKEv2 ships an update weekly, DNS Changer every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
