# Freez vs Tarnov

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tarnov at free against Freez's ad-supported. Tarnov also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Freez ships an update every 2 months, Tarnov every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
