# PDQ Chicken vs Chi Chicken

The clearest difference is rating: PDQ Chicken at 4.6 against Chi Chicken's 3.0. PDQ Chicken also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 10 months). Chi Chicken's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PDQ Chicken holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDQ Chicken has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDQ Chicken ships an update every 4 months, Chi Chicken every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
