# PDQ Chicken vs WingNow

The clearest difference is monetization model: WingNow at free against PDQ Chicken's free with in-app purchases. WingNow also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). PDQ Chicken's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for PDQ Chicken against 4.7 for WingNow. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDQ Chicken has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDQ Chicken ships an update every 4 months, WingNow every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
