# MaxText vs Buildday

The clearest difference is ads: MaxText at none against Buildday's shown. Buildday's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxText sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month and Buildday sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaxText ships an update every 6 weeks, Buildday weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
