# Memories vs Countdown

Memories and Countdown both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 45% of Memories's. Memories's advantage is ratings volume (851 vs 102). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memories sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Countdown sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Memories against 4.5 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memories has 851 ratings behind it against 102, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Memories's written reviews are positive against 62% of Countdown's.

Memories ships an update every 2 weeks, Countdown every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
