# Happy Things vs Happiness Mountain

The clearest difference is rating: Happiness Mountain at 5.0 against Happy Things's 4.3. Happiness Mountain also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Happy Things's advantage is ratings volume (150 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happy Things sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Happiness Mountain sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Happiness Mountain holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Happy Things has 150 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Happy Things ships an update every 3 weeks, Happiness Mountain every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
