# BN vs RainPoint Home

The clearest difference is rating: BN at 4.7 against RainPoint Home's 2.2. BN also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 63) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.1). RainPoint Home's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BN has 1.9K ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of BN's written reviews are positive against 21% of RainPoint Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BN ships an update every 3 months, RainPoint Home every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
