# Imaginactive vs Hobbit Steps

The clearest difference is price: Imaginactive at Free against Hobbit Steps's $0.99. Imaginactive also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). Hobbit Steps's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Imaginactive is free to download; Hobbit Steps costs $0.99 up front. Imaginactive sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year and Hobbit Steps sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Imaginactive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Imaginactive has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Imaginactive ships an update every 2 months, Hobbit Steps daily. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
